LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal can be done on all skin types but cannot be done on red, blonde or gray hair.
Hair removal can be done on small, sensitive areas like the face, underarms, & bikini line, as well as larger areas like the legs and back.
Lasers target individual hair follicles at their root, so they can be safely heated and destroyed, without harming surrounding tissue.
What Are the Benefits?
One of the main benefits to laser hair removal is the fact that it is a long-term and quicker solution to removing unwanted hair. Rather than spending valuable time plucking and shaving, or dealing with the pain of waxing, laser hair removal reduces hair regrowth permanently. Laser hair removal offers a safer alternative to shaving or waxing, especially in those who suffer from ingrown hairs or excessive irritation.
What Can I Expect From My Laser Hair Removal Session?
If you’re considering laser hair removal, it’s important to not that lasers only treat hair follicles while they’re in the “active” growth phase, so the hair follicle must be intact in order for the session be fully effective. This also means NO waxing, plucking, or threading 4 weeks prior to and in-between sessions. To receive the best results, we recommend up to 10 treatments (this may vary from person to person) spaced 4-6 weeks apart. If you see further hair growth, routine maintenance appointments may be required.
Overall, your laser hair removal session may take anywhere from a just few minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. You may have slight redness and mild swelling in areas where course hair was removed, but these side effects diminish within a few hours. You can return to your normal daily routine after, but it’s critical to avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect the treated area.
Individual results may vary.
